Settings
Account settings surface for profile, API keys, provider credentials, and inference configuration, embedded in Director's account/home Settings tab.
The package is discovered from package-install and Directory state, advertises
live artifact ability through Registry, serves its self-contained browser
module through Matrix component.module.get, and accepts logical subject
web.settings through SubjectViewBindingV1 before DOM connection.
The old shell Settings and inference-settings applications are not runtime dependencies. Product data remains at its existing owning Matrix subjects.
API keys
Open Director → your account/home object → Settings → API Keys. Under Create Key, enter a label, select your owned Namespace, choose a Purpose and optional expiry, then select Generate and confirm Issue API key.
Choose Harness inference key to issue exactly ['inference:invoke'].
It admits environment-local text inference through /v1/chat/completions
using only your default route. It does not permit tools, route changes,
account/key management, or host/bootstrap operations. The facade currently
requires the default route to be codex / gpt-6-astra / xhigh; creating
a key does not configure that route or a provider. See the
facade contract
for request limits and the equivalent CLI mint path.
Copy the key from Created Key into your machine-local secret owner. The
key and its configure command are revealed once, never saved in browser
storage, and cleared on Close, leaving API Keys, removing the surface,
or after five minutes. Only metadata remains in Keys; scope badges show
inference:invoke so a harness key is recognizable. Revoke invalidates
the key for future requests.
This preset is implemented and tested in source; live delivery and an authenticated Director browser walk are not claimed by the issue #621 source receipt.
