HiveCast design system
src/theme.ts owns the HiveCast light/dark palettes and the shared type, spacing,
radius, elevation, icon and task-width tokens. ensureHivecastTheme(document)
installs the inherited document baseline; applyHivecastTheme(mode, document)
changes the complete palette, including inline values left by theme actors.
hivecastThemeTokens(mode) supplies the same vocabulary to the existing theme
actor. styles.css only aliases the older brand variable names to these tokens.
applicationHeader(manifest.webapp, actionMarkup) renders an application's icon,
name, description and optional primary action. Include APPLICATION_HEADER_STYLES
in the application's shadow stylesheet. Action markup belongs to the application
and retains its event handlers. Manifest text is escaped. Icons share the Start
and taskbar renderer, with the same monogram for an unknown icon.
Run pnpm test, pnpm type-check and pnpm build in this package.
Command Noir arrival art
HIVECAST_ARRIVAL_DARK_ART_URL from @open-matrix/hivecast-brand/arrival is
the bundled, optional arrival background. Its separate entry keeps asset URL
resolution out of shared helpers used by blob-loaded application bundles.
It belongs behind desktop dark-mode sign-in/setup, never behind application
data, consent text or controls. Keep cards opaque. The shared palette disables
it in light mode; the login consumer also disables it on small screens, in
forced-colour mode and for print. There is no animation or remote image host.
Original references are recovered artwork
from the owner's Matrix Work Harness, not new designs. Files prefixed current-
are real screenshots of the contemporary shell/setup/settings, captured using
an owned temporary test account where needed. New renders
are image-model explorations, not proof of implemented behavior. The study's
mocked controls and status text are not an implementation specification.
The arrival asset is a quieter refinement of that study. Only its 84 KB JPEG
export enters the shipped package; reference boards, screenshots and PNG
masters remain outside dist. sources.json
