@hivecast/explorer (1.1.32)
Installation
@hivecast:registry=npm install @hivecast/explorer@1.1.32"@hivecast/explorer": "1.1.32"About this package
Explorer
Everything in this home, each thing with its facets. Explorer is a thin page around the one
explorer (mx-explorer from @open-matrix/explorer): it chooses the workspace, hands the explorer
the person's connection, mirrors where the person is to the address, and follows the go intents the
explorer cannot follow itself. The design is The Explorer.
Related UX opportunities
The Explorer interaction addendum explores compatible replacement views, binding scope and reusable tools. The newer tool-update journey separates live development following from adopting a reusable tool's revision while retaining work. These are suggestions, not additional delivery phases or claims of implemented behavior.
Workspaces
matrix.package.json declares the workspaces under explorer.workspaces, read by the same reader
the manifest validator uses (explorerWorkspaceOf). Each arrangement names its keeper (@registry
is system.registry) and a collection: an id the keeper describes, or an (arrangement …)
declaration the keeper answers.
home: names no list of its own (arrangements: [],arrangementsFromthe Registry'sarrangementscollection): the Registry's own layouts of the home's things (In this home, By kind, By state, By runtime, By package, By HiveDock, By application installation, By screen) and every list a keeper declares in its claim (static arrangements, as the agents service declares Agents).registry: every address the Registry lists, flat, as a table.
The address carries the place: #application=explorer&workspace=home&arrangement=agents&thing=<key>&facet=<id>.
A reload in the same tab also gets the open branches and the command counter back from
sessionStorage (explorer.<workspace>), so no command id is reused.
For agents
The page answers explorer-page.describe and explorer-page.show. The explorer itself answers
explorer/v1 at the child mount explorer (describe, select, facets, view.describe, view.act,
view.submit, view.use, views.find, inner.select, audience, each), and its selection is a thing at
explorer.selection (selection/v1).
Development
pnpm build compiles the runtime actor and bundles the browser page; pnpm test runs the page
spec over an in-process runtime with linkedom.
